Bob Gurr

Bob is a self-taught nature photographer who shoots exclusively in the wild. Since 1987, he has travelled across Canada with his wife Jackie, capturing images of wildlife in its own environment. His pictures have appeared on calendars, postcards, in textbooks and in magazines such as Defenders of Wildlife, Nature Canada, Bugle, Outdoor Canada, Eastern Woods and Waters, Ontario Out of Doors, BC Outdoors and Owl. In 1985, he won the Nikon contest in Japan with a kayaking photograph, the first Canadian to have won such recognition.

He is also an accomplished filmmaker with his work appearing on the Discovery Channel and Animal Planet.
