Alec Pytlowany works in and is surrounded by world renowned National and Provincial Parks and by many resorts in Western Canada. He photographs landscapes, nature and some sports in the Canadian Rockies, and beyond. Initially,  His career began by capturing the excitement of many different winter sports for advertising, magazine and resort use.

Alec has photographed many different professional competitive events, including: World Cup Alpine Ski Racing, World Cup XC and Biathlon Ski Racing, NHL Hockey and Stanley Cup Playoffs, the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics, the Commonwealth Games track and field events in Victoria, B.C., CFL Football, and some International Pro Tennis.

Over his career, he has supplied high quality images to a wide variety of advertising, editorial and corporate clients via assignment and stock photography.
